In It Starts at Home, Kurt Bruner and Steve Stroope offer an intentional approach to building families of faith. These two pastors and authors gather the larger-than-life realities of our relationships — such as forgiveness and intimacy — and guide readers into an accessible and applicable way of living God-intentioned lives.

Foundational strategies that stabilize the relationship between a husband and wife find expression as couples become parents and grandparents of children who live a lifelong faith.

God’s biggest assignments have always been entrusted to those leading a small tribe. From the twelve families of Israel to early Christians who met in one another’s homes, great leaders begin by serving a core group of people who ripple outward for ever-extending social and spiritual impact. They go big by leading small.

Tribal Church helps pastors recognize the potential and power of various tribes within their congregations - one family, a network of small groups, maybe an entire age group - and then recalibrate ministry efforts to maximize the impact of each. Steve Stroope has spent three decades mastering the art of leading small in a church that has multiplied from dozens to over fifteen thousand. He explains why big impact does not come from any sort of mega-church ambition. It rather comes by attending to the little details and the smallest tribes.

“The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel.”  (Joshua 10:13b-14)

Steven Furtick claims that these verses (and 12b-13a) form the core of what he calls a ‘theology of audacity’.

“You probably don’t have one of those yet, but it’s essential. In fact, if you ever encounter a theology that doesn’t directly connect the greatness of God with your potential to do great things on his behalf, it’s not biblical theology.

File it under heresy. I’ll take it further: if you’re not daring to believe God for the impossible, you’re sleeping through some of the best parts of your Christian life. And further still: if the size of your vision for your life isn’t intimidating to you, there’s a good chance it’s insulting to God. Audacious faith is the raw material that authentic Christianity is made of.

Romans 13: The True Meaning of Submission is a classic synopsis regarding a Christian’s duty to civil government. This trenchant treatise answers many of today’s burning questions, including,

  • “What is meant by ‘Higher Powers?’”
  • “Must Christians submit to unjust government?”
  • “Does de facto authority equate to God’s authority?”
  • “May government ever be lawfully resisted?”

In this scholarly volume, Pastor Chuck Baldwin and Attorney Tim Baldwin draw from years of research to delve deeply into the true Biblical and historical answers to these and other pressing issues. Never has a book been so necessary!

The Original Instructions: Reflections of an Elder on the Teachings of the Elders, Adapting Ancient Wisdom to the Twenty-First Century.

Those instructions for successful and happy relationships with families and communities and with all life, the Earth and the Cosmos, were passed down through the generations by elders of the indigenous peoples, who lived successfully and happily by them until they were invaded by newer cultures of domination, oppression and greed.

A renowned, respected teacher and mentor to thousands, Sobonfu Somé is one of the first and foremost voices of African spirituality to come to the West. Somé was born in Dano, Burkina Faso, a remote West African village with a population of about two hundred people. Dano has preserved the old ways of African village life, with family structures, spiritual practices, and methods of living that have been in place for more than ten thousand years.

In The Spirit of Intimacy, Sobonfu Somé distills the ancient teachings and wisdom of her native village to give insight into the nature of intimate relationships.

Somé generously applies the subtle knowledge from her West African culture to this one. Simply and beautifully, she reveals the role of spirit in every marriage, friendship, relationship, and community.

A wife has one driving need - to feel loved. When that need is met, she is happy.

A husband has one driving need - to feel respected. When that need is met, he is happy.

When either of these needs isn't met, things get crazy.

Love and Respect reveals why spouses react negatively to each other, and how they can deal with such conflict quickly, easily, and biblically.

Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife, Sarah, have already taken the Love and Respect message across America and are changing the way couples talk to, think about, and treat each other.

Want to feel valued? Want to experience marriage the way God intended? Then why not try some Love and Respect.

THE 8TH HABIT®: FROM EFFECTIVENESS TO GREATNESS

In today's challenging and complex world, being highly effective is the price of entry to the playing field.

To thrive, innovate, excel, and lead in this new reality, we must reach beyond effectiveness toward fulfillment, contribution, and greatness.

Research is showing, however, that the majority of people are not thriving. They are neither fulfilled nor excited.

Tapping into the higher reaches of human motivation requires a new mindset, a new skill-set --a new habit.

Dr. Covey's new book, The 8th Habit®: From Effectiveness to Greatness, is a roadmap to help you find daily fulfillment and excitement.

  • The Secret of Walt Disney’s CreativityAs a child, I remember being shocked to learn that Walt Disney was a personLater on, I discovered that the truth was even stranger. There wasn’t just one Walt Disney. There were three.
  • Strategies of Genius - Creativity as a total process involves the coordination of these three subprocesses: dreamer, realist and critic. A dreamer without a realist cannot turn ideas into tangible expressions. A critic and a dreamer without a realist just become stuck in a perpetual conflict. The dreamer and a realist might create things, but they might not achieve a high degree of quality without a critic. The critic helps to evaluate and refined the products of creativity.

  • What is Dragon Dreaming and Why is it Important? - Why do only one in a thousand of our dreams ever achieve reality? Why do, when we succeed in creating organizations or projects to fulfil our dreams, we finish up so often feeling burned out, or else are caught up in power hierarchies, in which the organization itself seems part of the problem?
  • Dragon Dreaming is a process pioneered in Western Australia, to assist individuals, community organizations, and ecologically responsible businesses develop, undertake and complete outrageously successful projects. Using this method, it creates a game, which when played by a team of people, will make your dreams come true.
  •  John Croft explains Dragon Dreaming

  • HOW TO BUILD AN OUTRAGEOUSLY SUCCESSFUL PROJECT Normally people think of a project as some special activity, outside of normal everyday life, but the Project Management Institute defines a project “as any temporary endeavor undertaken to achieve a particular aim … regardless of the project’s size, budget, or timeline.”

Explaining Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Thought on Morality, Family and Society:

"When sex, the power that most readily permits humans to take on divine creativity, is no longer worthy of special respect, then few things remain sacred. The cheapening of sexuality tends to lead to a tainted view of its extensions — love, life and lineage.

Indeed, these are seen to be optional components, disregarded when inconvenient. The degradation of love can be seen in the contemporary dating and mating culture where love is rarely even mentioned when discussing sex.

Even among those who believe that only love is what legitimates physical union, this represents an anemic definition of love, where fickle feelings are the focus, not will and ideals. The cheapening of life and lineage is evident in the fact that outside of marriage, the conception of a child is more likely to be viewed as a curse rather than a blessing. Perhaps worse, it is reduced to an inconvenience to be dispatched by an afternoon abortion appointment as if it were a dental cavity. Such trivializing of love, life and lineage is intertwined with the disrespect for the gravity of sexual relations. This both reflects and reinforces a person’s spiritual disorientation, and taken together could not possibly be further removed from the Heart of God."

"God is looking for His champions among the Christians of the world today. And the work of God needs a sacrificial spirit. How many Christians are now saying, "Use me as a lamb on Your altar, and out of my sacrifice save this world"? God is seeking a self-denying spirit. God is searching for the bearers of the cross for the 20th century. And today's Christians are deaf to that call.

Instead, Christians today are crying out for "my heaven," "my salvation."

What about God? What about the rest of the world? Will you be able to keep your small piece of heaven when the rest of the world is crumbling? No. If, on the other hand, the whole world were saved, would your own salvation not already be included?"

A collection of significant sermons given by Reverend Sun Myung Moon between 1969 and 1984.

"The ideology of Heavenly Father is restoring the kingship by centering on families and by linking them together. It is restoring the universal kingship; so, it cannot be accomplished without the family. Surely, the family is the center for this.

It is through the unified foundation of the family, the Adam-type unified family on the level of tribe. Shouldn't Adam have a clan? This must all be connected centering on Adam's family on the level of the people. Through the unified foundation of family, the kingship will be restored." (1989.10.17. Hannam-dong House)

"The spiritual path is not about just feeling good about oneself, in an egoistic manner. It is the facing of our chronic illness, and problems — of insecurity and hatred to others, our lack of relation to God, and our internal weakness, with a deep honesty and shimjung .

We have to be like a doctor who sees illness (diagnosis). We have to be professional. We have to see what the causes of that problem are (etiology) and then proceed with identifying the illness (prognosis) and then continue with treatment (remedy).

It will be shocking at first and we will definitely be in denial, just like someone who finds out they have a deadly sickness. We will not want to believe it at first.

But slowly we must come to grips with the reality of our sickness. In admitting our sickness we can paradoxically obtain greater freedom — freedom to see weakness and change it. When we develop this inner freedom then and only then can we truly begin to deeply and gratefully live life authentically."

 True Families: Gateway to HEAVEN

Human beings are not born based on their own choice. Then, are they born due to their parents' wishes? No. They are born due to God's desire. They are born through the love of their parents, which represents God's love.

The person, who is born as a new life through parental love, representing God's love, is I. Love has the power to create everything.

The highest purpose of life is to be born through love, be raised in love, live by love, and to leave love behind.

The Divine Principle is the main theological  textbook of the Unification Church written by the founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon. It includes God's purpose in creating human beings, the fall of man, and redemption - the process through history by which God is working to remove the ill effects of the fall and restore humanity back to the relationship and position that God originally intended.

The main ideas are shaded red, topics of second rank are shaded blue, and topics of third rank are shaded yellow. The reader can grasp the main thread of the teaching of the Divine Principle in a short time by reading only the red text. Reading the red and blue text together provides a richer framework; reading all three colors together gives a rather full exposition including many examples. To get the fullest meaning, the text must be studied in its entirety. Yet even when reading the full text, attention to the passages in red can help to clarify the thread of the argument.
